Rattray Head Beach – Beaches – Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire and Moray – Peterhead

Rattray Head Beach

Rattray Head Beach

One of the wildest and most isolated spots on the Aberdeenshire coast.

One of the wildest and most isolated spots on the Aberdeenshire coast, this vast beach is reached by a rough road that ends at the former lighthouse keepers houses, now a hostel. From the small car park it is a short walk through the wind sculpted dunes to a sudden and surprising view of Rattray Head Lighthouse. The lighthouse is just off shore and can be reached at low tide.
