This well-known landmark is a somewhat isolated mountain which is the most southerly Munro.

This is perhaps the most popular mountain is Scotland. It takes the shape of a smooth pyramid swelling out of flatter foothills. The north face is quite precipitous but the southern flanks are more favourable long rolling slopes from which the mountain is accessed from Rowardennan youth Hostel.
