Surrounding the Ring of Brodgar this small, but beautiful, lochside reserve is excellent for birds, with breeding curlews, redshanks, lapwings, snipe, and shovelers.
An entrancing lochside reserve, it takes its name from the superb stone circle the Ring of Brodgar. This is a great place to see curlew, snipe, dunlin, lapwing and redshank. Wildfowl abound with shoveler, teal, wigeon and gadwall all breeding here.
