A large sheltered sandy beach, with a coastal footpath, near a famous garden.
This wide sweeping beach lies just north of the village of Garlieston and its once busy harbour. From here there is an interesting walk south along the coast to the Galloway House Gardens, open all year, but best in the spring. The coastal path continues to Cruggleton Cliffs and the ruins of Cruggleton Castle. Car parking and public toilets near the harbour.
